Medina County Art League was incorporated in 1973, at which time our mission was; "To promote the Education, exploration, awareness and development of the visual arts; to promote community interest and appreciation in the arts; and to sponsor and/or participate in are shows, exhibit and community projects." This is still our mission today and we feel we have achieved our objectives in all areas and then some. We have established classes in local retirement communities; several Medina businesses have been generous enough to donate their space to display our artwork; we have a yearly members' exhibition; we present two workshops a year; and our annual art fine arts fair, Art in the Park, is renowned for it's excellence.

From our beginning, awarding graduating senior high school students art scholarships has been one way to give back to the community. Participating artists in our art fine arts fair, Art in the Park, donate a piece of their art for the scholarship raffle. Since 2002 the Medina County Art League has added from our general fund to the raffle monies received to bring the total scholarship awards up to $3,500. The seniors are judged from their portfolios containing at least five pieces of art showing a diversity of their talent.
