Become a member of the Medina County Art League!

The Medina County Art League meets monthly from September through May, with the exception of December. Our monthly meetings bring to the members professional artists to meet and exchange ideas, to learn from each other, to build friendships and much more. We are growing and each year we add new and wonderful events to our schedule. Join us and become part of a growing organization that enjoys working together to help build a better community through art.

Members receive our monthly newsletter, "Drawing Attention", which keeps them up to date on what, where and when. Such as meeting dates, guest artists, activities, upcoming shows and what other members are doing.

Our largest event, which began in 1972, is Art In The Park. Held annually the 3rd Sunday in July on the square in the beautiful city of Medina. Art In The Park has received "Best One Day Show In The Midwest" rating for the past several years from "Art Fair", (a source book for art fairs and shows all over the U.S.). There are about 130 artists each year selling their art and approximately $3500 in award monies. The event also supports our scholarship fund with a raffle of art work donated by the attending artists. The scholarships are given to Medina County High School seniors at the Medina County Schools Visual Arts Festival all Senior Show held each year in May.

The Western Reserve Bank Show began in January 2000. This bi-monthly show is a wonderful way to exhibit your artwork. We encourage both beginners and seasoned artists to participate.

QUESTION: How does the membership process work?

Answer:

• Download and complete the membership form andthen mail it to the address on the form along with your membership dues.
• Once we receive your completed form and dues we will mail youa MCAL Membership Welcome Packet which will include the current Member Directory, the latest MCAL Newsletter and other important information about the Art League.
• Please allow up two weeks to receive your packet.

QUESTION: When does MCAL's calendar year start and when do I have to pay my dues by?

Answer:

• MCAL's calendar year starts September 1st, new membership and renewal dues should be submitted no later then September 30th.
• Members who submit their membershipduesafter October 31st will not be listed in the upcoming year's Member Directory.

QUESTION: When can I register an account for the MCAL web site and what is the process?

Answer:

• If you are already a current MCAL member and your dues are up to date you can register immediately.
• If you are a new member you may register an account on the MCAL web site after you have received your MCAL Welcome Packet.
• To register an account simply click on the link "No account yet? Register" within the"Member Login" menu.
• Complete the registration fields and submit your information.
• After submitting your web site registration you will be sent a verification e-mail to the e-mail address you provided.
  NOTE: This e-mail could appear in your SPAM folder if you do not see it in your INBOX.
• After you have verified your e-mail address our Web Administrator will thenbe notified of your web siteregistration and he/she will verify that you are a current MCAL member. This process may take up to 48 hours since it is not an automated task.
• Once the Administrator verifies your MCAL membership he/she will then send you aWelcome e-mail informing you thatyour account is now active and you can login.

QUESTION: Why should I register an account for the MCAL web site?

Answer:

• This site includes additional features that can only be accessed by registered members of MCAL. These features include member photo galleries, private member only forums, access to the MCAL Newsletters, the online membership directory of registered users, the ability to submitnews worthyMCAL related events, member blogs and more. Not to mention any future additions we maketo theweb site for our members.
